I have to say, the person who is most happy with this purchase was my husband.
He didn't care much for this when he saw me ordering them, but when they got home and he actually saw the real items, he called dibs on them... Well, that somewhat makes me happy too, not like he's going to be the only one using it!
The cubes come in a very elegant package, and this also includes tongs. I think they would make an excellent gift for anyone who enjoys a cold drink.
For us, we won't really be using them for whiskey, we drink a lot of ice tea and soda, and right now we have a fridge that doesn't make ice, and no ice machine either. This is the best solution so far, as these are easily washed and put in a ziploc bag, over and over, without worrying that they take up too much space or are too much maintenance.
We've been using them for a few days, everything is as described, and these look elegant.
So far, I can't say there have been any complaints at all about them, and I'm quite fond of the ease of using these instead of making ice over and over again and ending up with watered-down drinks.
